A PSEUDO-AMERICAN THANKSGIVING @ EARTH LODGE

What does an American do living in Guatemala during Thanksgiving? Visit Earth Lodge, of course. Earth Lodge, a mountain lodge and avocado farm just outside of Antigua, so graciously hosted Thanksgiving for us American’s to gather together while away from our families. This quaint and warm hostel is located 6,000 feet above seal level, the highest vantage point of three hills, which makes for one incredible view. The staff was warm and welcome and we played Thanksgiving inspired trivia, stuffing our bellies with a delicious turkey dinner. Several local businesses donated various items for auction, all proceeds going to support the children at the El Hato School. Our team, “Stela Fierce," donated one of our favorites from our upcoming AW 2014 collection: the Isabel Weekender in Black Ikat with San Pedro Sacatepequez Huipil. To boot, we won 2nd place in trivia! Not too shabby if we do say so ourselves. *Insert gloating (and thankful) face here*
